Dirk is Rhiannon’s husband. Dirk is an engineer and regulatory technical specialist
with extensive experience in emissions compliance, vehicle certification, and
automotive R&D across leading OEM environments including Toyota. His
background spans emissions testing, combustion, hybrid and electric vehicle
certification, and regulatory alignment with CARB, EPA, and global emissions
standards.
During his time at Toyota, Dirk worked under the mentorship of David Hermance,
widely recognized as the American father of the Toyota Prius. In this role, he
supported early hybrid vehicle development and certification efforts, including
SOC-based test procedures and emissions strategies addressing cold start and
intermittent engine operation challenges.
During his spare time Dirk enjoys helping Rhiannon with her Reiki events. He also is
a RMT, CSHP and studied mind-body based modalities at IPSB in 1995. He plays an
ancient wind instrument called the Didgeridoo, said to be the first man made
musical instrument on Earth, well-known for its deep resonate and calming
frequencies. When he is not busy working, you might catch him playing at one of
Rhiannon’s events.
